Tim McGraw is on his Sundown Heaven Town Tour with Kip Moore and Cassadee Pope and thinks the two of them along with the crop of other newer artists has country music in good hands in the coming years.
A lot of “what’s country” questions have been tossed about since last fall with everyone from Zac Brown to Ronnie Dunn and just about everyone in between sharing an opinion and Tim’s is, besides his openers, he’s also a fan of Jerrod Niemann and David Nail, and thinks the future of country music is bright.
He tells The Bangor Daily News, “I think country music is in great hands.”
As for his own future, he says he’s going to keep making music and touring, and as someone who has performed with many different artists throughout his career, Tim says if he could perform with anyone, “Merle Haggard would be somebody I’d love to sing with. He’s such a huge icon. And of course, singing with my wife is always good.” Tim’s Sundown Heaven Town Tour will continue through August 9th, then he’ll release his new album, also called Sundown Heaven Town, on September 16th.
