Local non-profit organization Jubilee By The Bay, Inc. in partnership with
Pensacola Mardi Gras, Inc. are proud to announce Pensacola’s first Run Walk or Drag with
COLOR on Saturday January 19, 2013. The Jubilee Run Walk or Drag with COLOR is a casual fun
filled event where participants may walk or run an entertainment filled traditional road course
and are doused in Mardi Gras COLORs (purple green and gold) throughout the route. The Run
Walk Drag event begins and ends with a great celebration party filled with entertainment and
excitement. Early Registration ends January 11, 2013 and registration is limited to the first
10,000 paid participants. (Group rates and Military Discounts available on the registration site)
The Jubilee Run, Walk or Drag with COLOR course will travel through scenic Downtown
Pensacola as well as beginning and ending at waterfront Pensacola Maritime Park
Amphitheater. Participants can expect an outstanding course and spectacular views, all while
enjoying an amazingly entertaining and COLORful event.
Racing across the United States, run’s with COLOR are a phenomenon, which deliver an
unforgettable experience filled with both COLOR and energy for each participant. The pre-run
party; Walk Run or Drag route; and post event party include continuous high energy
entertainment and COLOR craziness. The COLOR is delivered by dousing participants with
brightly COLOR’ed corn starch loaded with food grade COLORant. When doused with the
COLOR, it produces magnificent COLOR’ing to clothing and body. The COLOR wash’s out easily
with soap and water, unless you want to visit the vinegar station on site, which will set the
COLOR into your clothes. As part of paid registration, every participant in the Run Walk or Drag
with COLOR will receive: an individualized participation number for your shirt; a custom printed
white T-Shirt; a custom printed white head band; a custom participation wrist band and a
custom printed set of sunglasses. Mardi Gras costumes, tutus or other fun dress or Drag is
encouraged. Groups are encouraged to participate.
COLOR stations along the route, and the pre and post-race parties will be hosted by the radio
stations: Cat Country 98.7 (Yellow); Tk101 101.5 (Green); Hit Music Now 107.3 (Purple). Extra
COLOR will be available at Pensacola Maritime Park before and after the Run Walk or Drag.
Bloody Mary’s, beer and Pepsi products will be available at the Maritime Park race celebration.
