Weekends

Snapper is a native of the Gulf Coast and he is no stranger to Cat Country 98.7. He actually got his first job in radio in 2005 when he worked behind the scenes at Cat Country where he served as the station’s Assistant Promotions Director and worked on the air. After leaving the station for a short period of time for a gig in Mobile he has once again decided to make Cat Country 98.7 his home.

Before landing his first job in radio Snapper served as a reporter for a Baldwin County-based newspaper and also worked as an intern at WPMI-TV NBC15.

In August of 2008 Snapper tried out for American Idol at the Jacksonville auditions, but unfortunately he didn’t make the cut. However, that won’t stop him from pursuing his passion for music. He loves country music and one day sees himself performing on stage. He plans to try out again for American Idol and pursue his career in the country music industry one way or the other. Whether that means playing country music on the air at Cat Country 98.7 or singing it to thousands of fans he is just glad to be surrounded by it on a daily basis.
