Cram the Van July 20th and 27th!

 

With the start of the school year just around the corner, the annual Escambia County Cram-A-Thon will take place on Thursday, July 20 and the Santa Rosa County Cram-A-Thon will take place on Thursday, July 27. The Cram the Van school supply drive, celebrating 18 years of service, is a partnership between WEAR ABC 3, Sandy Sansing Dealerships, Sandy & Bubba’s Milton Chevrolet, Escambia County United Way, Santa Rosa County United Way, Cat Country 98.7 and NewsRadio 1620 AM & 92.3 FM.

In 2016, for Escambia County over $93,000 worth of school supplies were distributed to 61 area schools and in Santa Rosa over $45,000 worth of backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to over 900 students.

Each year, the program greatly benefits local teachers and students in both counties by supplementing the school supplies that parents purchase.

Escambia County’s Cram-A-Thon takes place on July 20 at the following locations:

Walmart – Mobile Highway

6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

WEAR ABC 3 will be live from 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Walmart – Creighton Road

6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Cat Country 98.7 and NewsRadio 1620 AM & 92.3 FM will be live from 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Santa Rosa County’s Cram-A-Thon takes place on July 27 at the following locations:

Walmart – Tiger Point

6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

WEAR ABC 3 will be live from 6 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Walmart – Pace

6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Cat Country 98.7 and NewsRadio 1620 AM & 92.3 FM will be live from 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Businesses and individuals may still get involved by hosting a collection drive, volunteering, or making a donation. There are several public Cram the Van collection boxes located across the community where individuals can drop off school supplies. In Santa Rosa County: Please visit the United Way Office at 6479-A Caroline Street, Milton and fill out an application.

Escambia public schools will get their Cram the Van school supplies by Aug. 4 and parents in Santa Rosa will be able to get their supplies between Aug. 7-9.
