Kellie Pickler has a big heart. Last year she shaved her head to support her friend battling breast cancer. She also has a soft spot for her Grandpa Ken. He was the one who convinced her to do “Dancing With the Stars”.

He lives with Kellie and her husband Kyle Jacobs and she tells Country Weekly, “He was eavesdropping on my phone conversation about doing the show and he told me that if I didn’t do it, then I wasn’t his favorite granddaughter anymore. Funny thing is, I’m his only granddaughter. I’m his only grandchild! It’s his favorite show, though. I think he’s more excited than anybody about it.”

She’ll be paired with three-time DWTS champion Derek Hough. The next season of DWTS starts March 18!
