» Zac Brown Teams Up With Dave Grohl For New Music

Zac Brown Band is branching out and releasing “The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1,” which is an entire album produced by former Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

“Dave is a musical genius,” Zac said in a press release. “It’s been amazing to play with him onstage and get to spend time working with him in the studio. We are excited for fans to hear the music we’ve been able to create together.”

As for Dave, he was just as excited to work with Zac, telling Rolling Stone, “They’re unbelievable,. The band is so good they can be tracked live; we didn’t (expletive) with computers, we tracked live.” He continued, “I didn’t know what [the band] was [prior to this]. People are like, ‘Oh, it’s country.’ ‘No, it’s not, it’s like the Allman Brothers.’ ‘No, it’s not, it’s jam band.’ I don’t even know what you would call it, it’s (expletive) great.”

“The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1,” will be released December 10 and will feature the song “Day for the Dead,” which they performed with Dave at the CMA Awards on November 6.
