» Things To Watch For On Tonight CMA Awards

Reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Thompson Square will host the Pre-Telecast CMA Awards ceremonies, which will stream live on CMAawards.com at 6:30. The winner for Musician of the Year will be recognized at this time. Other tings to watch for tonight include:
- Luke Bryan opening the show.

- Taylor Swift will receive the CMA Pinnacle Award. The Award recognizes an artist who has achieved both national and international prominence through concert performances and record sales at levels unique in Country Music. The artist has also attained the highest degree of recognition within the broad expanse of music worldwide. The artist’s talent and presence will have a long-term positive impact on the appreciation of Country Music for generations to come. The award was created in 2005 and has only been given to one other artist: Garth Brooks.

- Eric Church will reportedly do his new song ‘The Outsiders’ with a more metal/rock edge.

- Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert will perform their duet that is Keith’s latest single ‘We Were Us.’

- Alan Jackson and George Strait, the two top nominees in CMA Awards history, will perform together in a tribute to the legendary George Jones, who passed away in April of this year.

- Kenny Rogers will receive The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. He will be honored with a star-studded tribute featuring performances by Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts, and Darius Rucker.

- Two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift will take the stage with Vince Gill and Alison Krauss.

- Reigning CMA New Artist of the Year Hunter Hayes is performing with Jason Mraz.

- Zac Brown Band performing with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

- ABC’s Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts will present the last award of the night ‘Entertainer of the Year

The 47th CMA Awards will air live on WEAR-TV 3 and Cat Country 98.7 starting at 7!
