» Taylor Swift To Get Rare Award Tomorrow
The Country Music Association will present Taylor Swift with the Pinnacle Award during The 47th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville tomorrow.
The award recognizes an artist in country music who has achieved both national and international prominence through concert performances and record sales. It also distinguishes an artist who has reached the highest degree of recognition for their music worldwide, as well as someone who will have a positive impact on the appreciation for country music for generations to come. The Pinnacle Award was created in 2005 and was first presented to Garth Brooks, who’s the only other recipient.
Taylor has six CMA Awards nominations at this year’s show, including the top honor of Entertainer of the Year. During the ceremony, Taylor will also perform in a star-studded collaboration with Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Sam Bush, Edgar Meyer and Eric Darken. The 47th Annual CMA Awards will air live tomorrow night at 7:00 on WEAR-TV 3.
