» Pensacola Native Aaron Tippin Passes Love Of Flying Onto Son
Pensacola native Aaron Tippin is a pilot that has become a certified flight instructor as well. Aaron earned his certification to sign his son Ted’s logbook after he finished his first solo flight.
Aaron tells “Country Weekly” he’s proud that his son is carrying on the family’s “tradition of aviation” and signing the next generations logbook is a tradition.
He says his dad was a pilot who signed his when he made his first solo flight on his 16th birthday. Ted had hoped to do the same, but had to wait an extra day to follow in his father’s footsteps last Saturday, as bad weather kept him grounded until Sunday.
As for the family’s love of flying, Arron says, “Aviation is an unforgiving mistress and it will kill you,. What it means to the Tippins, personally, is it’s a tradition . . . and we’ll just keep this going forever.”
