» Luke Bryan Almost Cuts Finger Off, Helps Dierks Bentley Raise Record Money
Last night Luke Bryan played at Dierks Bentley’s 8th annual Miles and Music for Kids benefit and hit the stage with a heavily bandaged thumb.
He explained the injury was result of him trying out his culinary skills making ribs. He told the crowd, “I was making some ribs and I almost cut my thumb off. It’s fun doing this with stitches…you always want to cut your thumb off on CMA week.”
Luke’s issue aside, the event was a huge success. Dierks led more than 1,000 motorcyclists on a 40-mile ride to kick off the even, which set a record $307,000 in donations going to the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
“It’s not me, we broke the record,” Dierks told fans. “God bless you guys. Thank you so much.”
