» Keith Urban’s Little Song Birds
Keith Urban’s daughters seem to be following in the footsteps of the very musical father as they have begun to find their singing voices. Occasionally, Urban will even catch his oldest daughter, 5-year-old Sunday Rose, belting out her daddy’s hits.
Keith tells People, “Sometimes I’ll just hear Sunny singing ‘Kiss a Girl.’ It’s just infectiously catchy pop and I have a side of me that loves that stuff.” But Sunday Rose sings along to a wide range of songs; not just her father’s tunes. Urban shares, “She sings ‘I Love It’ by Icona Pop all the time. She (and younger sister Faith Margaret) sit in the back of the car and sing ‘I don’t care, I love it, I love it.’ We’ve had to figure out the clean version of the song.”
And sometimes the two girls will even create their own versions of their favorite songs. Keith says, “They’ll just mishear the lyrics. Sunny used to sing ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ (by Foster The People) and she thought the lyric ‘faster than my bullet’ was ‘faster than my brother’ and so that’s what she sang. It’s adorable.”
