» Highlights From The CMT Music Awards

No one dominated at last night’s “CMT Music Awards”. Carrie Underwood won the night’s big one, Video of the Year for “See You Again”.  It was the third year in a row she won it. The opening of ZZ Top, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo was interesting:

This show is known for great pairings, and there were plenty.  Lee Ann Womack and Kacey Musgraves performed Alan Jackson’s “Livin’ On Love”. That was followed by Carrie Underwood giving him the first-ever CMT Impact Award. Jennifer Nettles and Hunter Hayes joined John Legend for his song “All of Me”.

Dierks Bentley was joined on stage by some dancing stewardesses for a performance of “Drunk On A Plane”. Little Big Town had the most interesting performance of the night with their new song “Day Drinking” and it’s paint splashing finish. And, the surprise of the night was Jaon Aldean walking the red carpet with his girlfriend, and former mistress, Brittany Kerr.
