» Brad Paisley Breaking Out The ‘Moonshine’
Brad Paisley finally has a title for his new album, “Moonshine In The Trunk.”
In an interview with Billboard, Brad says he was unable to come up with anything for weeks, joking about the ten blank-white tour buses getting ready to hit the road for his tour.
“I’m tempted to take a Sharpie and write, ‘Brad Paisley World Tour’ on the front of it,” he says. “They’ve been asking me for weeks, and I keep going, ‘I haven’t named the album yet.’”
As for the album’s sound, Brad says he took a less experimental approach than he did on “Wheelhouse”, but that doesn’t mean he’s not trying new things.
“When you hear a banjo through stutter edit, it’s the coolest thing you ever heard,” he says. “I have a song that’s a basic love song, it’s got a great groove, and I cut this guitar part that gets distorted when I turn the nob up. I would say to Luke (Luke Wooten, producer), ‘Oh, that should’ve been done 20 years ago, but they couldn’t.’ The rulebook’s gone, or was there ever one? They try, but I don’t play by it.”
“Moonshine In The Trunk” will be out August 26 and has his new song “River Bank” on it.
