ACM Awards Boltin’ For Big D

The ACM Awards are known for being country music’s biggest party which is why they’re held in Las Vegas, but next year the show is moving to Arlington, Texas and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys for its 50th show.

George Strait has the duty of making the official announcement Sunday night at this year’s show, even though the move was initially announced in 2012. Bob Romeo, the Academy president, says it’s just a temporary move and the show will be back in Vegas in 2016 but maybe at a new home.

It’s his hope that by then a new arena near the Monte Carlo will be built and become the newest home of the show moving it out of the MGM Grand.

The ACM Awards will be live from Vegas this Sunday night at 7:00 on CBS.
