The average person only uses 77% of these a year…What are they?
Answer: Vacation days (US Travel Association)
The average American earns 21 days of PTO each year, but only uses 77%of them, which means they leave about 5 days of paid vacation on the table every year. That comes to 169 million forfeited days across the country. And, if you think the hard work will pay off, the same study says you are less likely to be promoted if you don’t use all your days. Part of being in positions with greater responsibility is having confidence in yourself. A lot of people think if they take their days it shows they are lazy, which is actually a sign of not being confident in the job you’re doing.
