New Music Awhile Off For Eric Church

Posted on: March 17th, 2015 by Chris

Eric Church has started thinking about the follow-up to ‘The Outsiders’ but that’s as far as he’s gotten.

“It takes me a while,” he tells Rolling Stone, “[And] I was looking [at the calendar] the other day, it’s gonna be a while for me.” He’s thinking it may be summer before he gets a start.

“I’m tired – but it’s a good tired,” he says as his Outsiders Tour rolls on. “I’m having the most fun I’ve had since bars and clubs. I never thought I’d walk on a stage at this time in my career and end up playing two and a half, three hours, you know, but I love it,” he says. But it’s left him little time to work on new music.

When he finally does get the chance to though it’s anyone’s guess what he’ll come up with. “I haven’t gotten to the studio yet, but that will be interesting, ‘Do you wanna go nuttier or is it more tame, is it totally different, is it more subtle and stripped down? I don’t know, man. It’s just one of those things that I don’t know till we get to the studio and we see what it all looks and sounds like.”

Eric comes to The Wharf in Orange Beach on June 12th.
