The album, which will be released later this year, has the country stars picking their favorite Doobie song to record with the band.

Posted on: February 27th, 2014 by Bo

Comedian Tim Wilson died of an apparent heart attack yesterday. The 52-year-old was probably best known among fans of Larry the Cable Guy, Ron White and Jeff Foxworthy as they toured together often.

Also during his career he was known for his parody songs, “Garth Brooks Has Ruined My Life,” “The Ballad of John Rocker” and “The Jeff Gordon Song.”

Tim’s dream was to be a musician, but when that didn’t go anywhere he turned to comedy, with his first big breakthrough coming in 1990 on The Tonight Show.

Tim leaves behind a wife and two kids.

Loretta Lynn Okay After Fire

Posted on: February 26th, 2014 by Bo

Loretta Lynn is nursing some minor burns after a fire at her home yesterday morning.

Hurricane Mills ranch manager, Will Rourke told Nashville’s News 2 Loretta was at home watching TV when a candle burning in the sunroom fell over, setting a chair on fire. He says Loretta discovered the fire when she went to explore a crackling sound she heard.

He says Loretta hurt herself using a pillow to beat down the flames, suffering minor burns on her fingertips. The fire was not in the antebellum mansion she used to call home, which is now open to tourists, it was in another home on the property where she’s living now.

The last 14 months have been rough on Hurricane Mills. It was damaged in a severe storm last January. Last February a fire destroyed the concession stand at the Ranch’s motocross track.  Then, in September Loretta cracked two ribs when she fell into a dresser at the house.

Craig Morgan Has An Internal Alarm

Posted on: February 26th, 2014 by Bo

Craig Morgan apparently has an internal alarm clock that he says he can actually set, just by telling himself what time he wants to get up the next morning, and it has never failed him.

“My wife thinks it’s the most crazy thing,” laughs Craig.  “People think I’m joking, but I’ll say, ‘What time do you want to get up in the morning?’ And they’ll say, And they’ll say 5:30 and I’ll say, ‘Okay, I’ll wake you up at 5:30.’  At 5:15 I will wake up and wake them up at 5:30.”

Most people might set a real alarm clock as a back-up, just in case, but Craig says, “I never set an alarm clock at my house.  I’ve never had an alarm clock and in the last 15 year I may have overslept … I MAY have overslept once, but I’m not even sure if I’ve ever overslept.”

Craig uses an buzzing alarm clock in his new song, “Wake Up Lovin’ You” which you can hear on The Cat!
