Some country stars have been pulled into the studio by the Doobie Brothers to record an album of the band’s hits.
Among those signed on are are Toby Keith Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band, Sara Evans, Chris Young, Jerrod Niemann, and Love and Theft.
The album, which will be released later this year, has the country stars picking their favorite Doobie song to record with the band.
The Doobie Brothers have gone through many lineup changes through the years, but for these recordings some familiar names are involved including Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, John McFee and Michael McDonald.
This isn’t the first time the band has gone country. Luke Bryan played a CMT Crossroads special in 2011.
